Small dog, big personality? Monday Minis is PacK9's dedicated small-breed pack walk exploring Palmerston North, Manwatu.
This tailored dog walking service is designed specifically for small breed dogs who need structure, stimulation, and safe socialisation - but without the physical demands of a standard pack walk.
Our regular pack walk covers serious ground and Monday Minis was created after one of our smaller dogs showed us that little legs sometimes need their own adventure.
Outings run for 1–2 hours and include real-world environments, basic obedience, leash skills and appropriate socialisation. Dogs are picked up and dropped home as part of the service, so you don't need to drop your dog off anywhere.

What are Monday Minis?
Monday Minis is PacK9's small-dog pack walking service in Palmerston North. It is designed specifically for small breeds who enjoy getting out and about but may not suit the physical demands of our larger-dog pack walks.
What size dogs can join Monday Minis?
Monday Minis is for small-breed dogs. Every dog completes a consultation before joining so I can assess their size, personality, behaviour and suitability for the group.
Where do the dogs go?
We explore a variety of real-world environments around Palmerston North and the wider Manawatū, including bush tracks, beaches, farmland, river trails and urban areas.
How long is a Monday Minis walk?
Each outing runs for approximately 1-2 hours. This time excludes travel time for pickups and dropoffs, and dribing to & from our walking location. You can expect your dogs outing to be between 3-4 hours.
What does my dog do during the walk?
Alongside exercise and exploration, basic obedience, leash skills and appropriate socialisation are incorporated into the outing.
Do you pick up and drop off my dog?
Yes. Pickup and drop-off are included in the price. There is no drop-off-to-me option.
What day does Monday Minis run?
Monday Minis runs on Mondays, with the occasional day swap when required.
How much does Monday Minis cost?
Monday Minis is $50 per walk, with a minimum weekly commitment.
Does my dog need a consultation first?
Yes. A one-off $50 consultation is required before joining. This gives me the opportunity to meet your dog, assess their suitability for the pack, introduce expectations and start building a relationship with them.
Can nervous dogs join Monday Minis?
Generally yes! Each dog is assessed individually, and suitability depends on their behaviour, confidence and ability to participate comfortably in a small group. The consultation helps determine whether Monday Minis is the right fit, however a large focal point is on confidence building each Pack Walk day. Many of the existing Monday Mini pack members started out nervous, unsure, or timid in both social aspects and environmental aspects. Those same dogs now help me build confidence in new dogs entering our Minis Pack.
Can unneutered male dogs join?
No. Unneutered male dogs are not eligible for Monday Minis.
Can my female dog attend while she's in heat?
Unspayed females are welcome to join, but will need to sit out Monday Minis during their heat cycle.
What happens if my dog isn't suited to the pack?
Not every dog is suited to every group, which is why the consultation comes first. If Monday Minis isn't the right fit, I'll let you know rather than putting your dog into an unsuitable environment.
