Social Packs - Outdoor days, structured ways.

The dog daycare that helps your dog make real social progress

Social Packs. Dog Daycare.

Social Pack is a structured dog daycare experience designed to support positive dog socialisation, build confidence, and foster meaningful pack connection. Held in a secure, purpose-built rural space just minutes from Palmerston North, in the heart of the Manawatū.

Hosted at Canine Compound, our private fully fenced dog facility features open grassed areas, scenic views, and a variety of enrichment elements, including a sandpit, agility obstacles and natural terrain. It's an environment where dogs are encouraged to grow, play, and learn at their own pace, all under the guidance of an experienced handler (me).

Whether your dog needs support developing social confidence, refining recall, or thrives in a well-structured and safe outdoor setting, Social Pack offers a professional and enriching alternative to traditional dog daycare services.

Each session is led under the PacK9 philosophy, which centres around clear boundaries, calm leadership, safe interactions and purposeful confidence-building.

All dogs are under continuous supervision. With over 8+ years of experience working with a wide range of behaviours, I specialise in canine body language, safe group management and intentional pack structure.

Pickup & drop off is included in the price of your dog's day out, no drop-off-to-me option is available.

FAQs

What is Social Pack?

Social Pack is PacK9’s outdoor dog daycare service, where dogs spend the day exercising, exploring, socialising and learning in our purpose built space.

Where is Social Pack held?

Social Pack is held at Canine Compound, our private rural dog facility just minutes from Palmerston North.

What do the dogs do during the day?

Dogs have access to open grass, natural terrain, enrichment areas, agility obstacles and plenty of space to move, explore and interact. We also focus on basic obedience and individual behaviour growth.

How are dogs grouped?

Every dog is assessed before joining and placed into a pack based on their personality, behaviour, size and overall compatibility.

Does my dog need to be social with other dogs?

Not necessarily. Social Pack isn't about every dog playing with every other dog. Dogs are supported to interact appropriately, build confidence and learn to comfortably exist around other dogs.

Is my dog supervised?

Yes. Dogs are continuously supervised by an experienced handler with 8+ years of hands-on experience working with a wide range of canine behaviours.

Can my dog join if they need help with confidence or recall?

Yes. Social Pack can provide opportunities to work on confidence, recall, engagement and appropriate social behaviour throughout the day.

What days does Social Pack run?

Social Pack currently runs every Tuesday and Wednesday.

Do you pick up and drop off my dog?

Yes. Pickup and drop-off is included in the price. A drop-off-to-me option is not available.

How much does Social Pack cost?

Social Pack is $50 per day, with a minimum weekly commitment.

Does my dog need a consultation first?

Yes. Every new dog must complete a one-off $50 consultation before joining Social Pack. This gives us a chance to assess suitability, introduce boundaries and start building a relationship with your dog.

Can entire male dogs attend?

No. Unneutered male dogs are not eligible for Social Pack.

Can female dogs attend while in season?

Unspayed females are welcome to join, but must sit out Social Pack days while they are in heat.

What happens if my dog isn't suited to the group?

Not every dog is suited to group daycare, and that's okay. Your dog's suitability and pack placement are assessed before joining, with their individual needs and behaviour taken into consideration.
